The ageing of Australia’s population will call for the provision of aged care services to much larger numbers of people over the next few decades. This study analyses major trends in demand and supply over the next 40 years. It draws some implications for the future structure and mix of aged care services and identifies prospective directions for reform.

It tends to be compared to other forms of engineering, especially architecture. I have to admit that when first being taught SE, I fully bought into that whole analogy. But, when one moves beyond the basic concepts, it falls apart. There are many problems with this comparison as well as many pitfalls one may fall into when making it.

"Pretty soon we'll have to fly naked!" The mass media rapidly embraced the UK terror storyline fed to them. The BBC, CNN, CBC Newsworld and other all-news broadcasters covered scarcely anything but the narrowly averted catastrophe throughout the day. Funny thing, but the general public wasn't buying it. The reaction was surprisingly cynical...

Both candidates were tentatively in favor of it. So now it's the blame game. Who's going to take the blame? McCain.
